8. A Busy Night for Old Friends

True to her word Mary gave her husband a much shorter session that usual with the slender limb than either of them were accustomed too. For the better part of three minutes she steadily, calmly flicked the switch against his exposed bottom. The blows were hard enough to cause plenty of sting and to enlist a constant clenching and unclenching of his cheeks and the occasional tiny utterance of his discomfort, but they paled in comparison to what he knew his wife was capable of doing with the thin branch had she had the mind to.

After a much briefer session that he had expected, Mary tossed the switch into the darkness. She picked up the heavier rod. Once again she gave her husband a few moments of dreaded anticipation while she paced behind him in silence, occasionally slicing the whip though the quiet fall night to increase his sense of what was coming. At last she approached him. "Back up some more. I want just your chest and shoulders on the wagon. That's it. Now arch your back and spread your legs a bit. I want that pretty little ass where I can get a good look at it."

Jacob obeyed, presenting the full roundness of his buttocks to the mercy of his bride. Mary smiled. She was getting wetter by the minute. Stepping back to his left, she held the rod firmly against the crease just below the swell of his buttocks. "You disrespected one of my oldest friends tonight, Jacob. You know better. I have taught you better. When you behave in a disrespectful manner you not only demean yourself, but it is a poor reflection on me. I will not have it." She tapped the switch against his behind. "I am going to give you a lesson that will help you to remember that in the future. I want you to count the strokes, loudly and clearly. If you lose count, or miss count, you will be cutting another switch once I am done with this one. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Furthermore, the next time you see Hugh Spencer you will apologize for your behaviour and ask her to discipline you at her convenience. Understood?"

"Yes, Ma'am."

"I don't expect to have to punish you for this type of behaviour again, Jacob. If I do, trust me, you will be a very, very sorry boy."

With that, Mary drew back the switch, and with a great swing of her arm and a perfectly timed flick of her wrist, landed it with a resounding snap to the very spot she had been holding it. Jacob cried out in pain and jerked his head upright. "Ow, one."

Mary repeated the motion, hitting home about a half inch higher and producing a second strident exclamation from Jacob. "Ouch, two."

Swish, thwack. "Ahhh, three... please."

Swish, crack. "Oh, please Ma'am... ow four, please not so hard."

Mary heeded him no mind. With a steady rhythm she worked the wicked limb upwards until she reached the midway point of his now thoroughly welted behind.
